I think that Dorchester is so poor because all I see is people walking down the street asking for money. I do not know why they doing that. So it compare with the text says and it is a Cairo to. That is why I do not like it.

The difference that Cairo and I have in common is that we both have four months of winter. Also, both places have an area that is poor. What we don’t have in common is that Cairo has eight months of summer because in the text it says “ It has two basic seasons: eight months of summer,” We only have three months of summer. In the article, it says that the climate is “hot and dry”. For me, it depends on which season it is. In Cairo, the poorest area is called the land of the dead. Where I live, it’s called the GHETTO. These are the differences and similarities of Cairo and the place I live.

I think that the people who lived in Cairo were luck 6 months or summer I’ll take that any day. Where I live it is nice and quiet sometimes there aren’t any thieves like in Cairo. I wonder if the people how lived in Cairo ever found the thieves. But still I like where I live and I’m glad but I would still prefer the 6 months of summer.

Cairo is the capital of Egypt and Massachusetts is the capital of United States. The biggest city in Cairo is Africa. Massachusetts is not that bigger than Africa. Some of the streets in Massachusetts are small like my street. In Africa their streets is bigger than my street or some of the streets. In Africa it hot in Massachusetts it hot only in the summer but in Africa it does snow but not all the time. In Massachusetts it snows a lot in the winter.

Cairo is like Boston.Only Cairo has eight months of summer.Boston has only four months of summer. Also Cairo is the capital of Egypt and Boston is the capital of mass. Also in the summer time the days are so dry and hot but after seven the wind starts to kick in.So I pretty much think that Cairo and Boston are alike by the climate.

i think Boston is kind of poor like Cairo. an it is kind of like it but not to much. we do the same stuff. But Boston is not as big as Cairo

Anonymous said...

i think it is kind of the same. Cuz in the story Cairo is cool and And it is not as big

Well, in Cairo there’s 2 basic season winter and summer. We have 4 basic seasons, which are winter, summer, fall, and spring. We both have 4 months of winter. Also another common thing is that we both have poor people living here. According, to the article it’s hot and dry, over here changes from cold to hot. A different thing is that in Cairo and Boston people dress very differently.

Some information I have about Cairo is that it is the capital of Egypt also the largest city in Africa. It lies on the eastern bank of the Nile River. The Climax is only hot & dry. Some information about Roxbury is that is has four seasons it lies off of grove hall and I live there. I would say that Cairo is better that Roxbury because I think that it can be improved better.

The things that Cairo and I have in common is that we both have four (4) months of winter, and we both live in places that are poor. The things that we do not have in common are that Cairo has eight (8) months of summer and in America, we have three (3) months of summer. We also have different similarities because in the article it says that it’s is hot and dry, so that means that it a dessert, well where I live, it has to depend on which season it is. That is what we have in common and not in common.

I thin that Cairo and Boston are the same because they because there are Christians and Muslims in both places. They are both capital city. The have beautiful places for ex Boston has beautiful museum and Cairo has beautiful artifact.

I think they are different because in Boston we don’t call poor people homes or city of the dead.

I live in Dorchester where it is not a poor place or a rich place. There aren’t any poor people over there. In Dudley that is another place that can be called city of the dead. In Dorchester it doesn’t have a lot of dry days but it has a lot of cold days. In Dorchester we have four seasons while Cairo has two seasons.
Dorchester has the season’s winter for two months, spring for four months, summer for four months and fall for two months. While Cairo has winter for eight months and winter for four months

Cairo is different because they are on the bank of the Nile River. And it is the same because they got people there. It is different because vast majority of there people are Muslims. There are the same because they have university. They are different because they have over six hundred Islamic monuments. They are the same because they have education. They are different because they have something called the KHAN KHALIL

Where I live is Boston you live in the ancient times I sometimes wish I live over there but I’m cool where I’m now. I think your town is better because we didn’t have pyramids the Egyptian have it. They have treasure and we don’t but we have a bank to get our money they have gold cooper, textiles, spices and leather goods BOSTON DOSEN'T HAVE THAT.

A comparisons between the U.S.A are we have poor & rich towns. For example, Dudley station is practically poor, Copley is pretty big and it is just about the riches place I know, If I were in Cairo, Dudley would be THE CITY OF THE DEAD and Copley would be GARDEN CITY.
A contrast is that we don't have 600 Islamic monuments, including mosques, palaces and tombs (anymore).

Some similarities that Cairo and Boston have are they both are capitals. Boston is the capital of Massachusetts and Cairo is the capital of Egypt. They are both large cities. A difference is Cairo has 2 seasons: summer, and winter. Boston has 4 seasons: winter, fall, summer, and spring. The poorest inhabitant (people) lives in City of the Dead. In Boston, the poorest inhabitant lives in Dudley. Cairo’s populations are Muslims. Boston’s populations are Blacks and Hispanic .We both have architecture. Cairo and Boston both have highest education. The high education s from our Universities like Boston University and Harvard University etc. In Cairo, the education is from American University. These are similarities and differences between Cairo and Boston.

The similarities between CAIRO and BOSTON is that there both capitol’s. In Boston and Cairo is that they both have religions, and they both have sells man. The differences between Cairo and Boston is that Cairo only has 2 season eight months of summer and four months of winter. It barely doesn’t rain in Cairo. The other differences is that Cairo is the cultural capitol of Middle West, and Boston is the capitol of Massachusetts. In Cairo there are Monuments and palaces, in Boston there are building. We don’t have a lot of Monuments, we have a couple. The other differences is that Cairo is practically divided into Poor and Rich, they have the “ City of dead” and the “ Garden City”. While in Boston we have the different neighbor hoods, there different from the suburbs . Believe me. The last Similarities is that in Cairo they have jewelry and leather gold, and in Boston we have the same exact thing. But we have to pay for it, we don’t search for it. We have jewelry sells people

Something’s I could compare from the text is when it say’s in the second paragraph “ Egyptian Christian, called Copts.” I could compare that because in Boston we have Christians, in the third paragraph it say’s “ There is also an American University in Cairo.” I compare that because we have a lot of universities in Boston, and also in the second paragraph “People in the oldest parts of the city live in slumps.” I compare that because we have slumps that are dirty.

Something’s I could contrast from the text is that in the first paragraph it said that “ It has two basic seasons: eight months of summer and four months of winter. I could contrast that because In Boston we have 4 seasons, which are spring, summer, fall and winter.

One comparison is that Cairo has a university and in Boston we have a university. Another comparison is that they have and we have four seasons. My last contrast is that they have is that they have more Muslims and we have more African Americans. Christians and we have Christians. One contrast is that they sell god and we just find of buy the gold from some where else and then we sell it. Another contrast is that they have only two seasons

In cairo, they have a plce called "The city of the dead", and that's where poor people live and Dorchester is a poor city, but like in Brockton it's really that poor and in Cairo, there's a place called "Garden City", where the rich people live.

The difference that Cairo has from Boston is that we have four seasons and Cairo has 2 seasons and also Boston has people from all different kinds of people from different places and Cairo has mostly only Egyptians and Muslims. Another difference is the name that the Egyptians call the poor people. Egyptians call the poor people, people of the dead and we that live In Boston call the people who are poor the poor or homeless not people of the dead. The thing that Boston and Cairo has alike is we both have university’s, Boston’s the capital of Massachusetts just like Cairo is the capital of Egypt and we both are also located in the eastern side of the united states.

Well comparing to Cairo to where I live in Cairo I noticed that down there they have people walking around without any transportation. In Downtown, Boston when I sometimes go down there to go to a doctors appointment I see a lot of people walking like if it’s just they like to get used to they cold weather. In Cairo they got some descent buildings that I like. In Massachusetts we also have descent buildings. The things that are different about Massachusetts and Cairo are that in Cairo on top of their buildings they are pointy and sharp. In Boston, Massachusetts we have buildings that are really tall in downtown every time I go there I can always see it when I me and my mom get off the train. I think Cairo doesn’t have any plains because I think they haven’t invented one. In Boston, Massachusetts we have plains to travel across the states. We also have cars, buses, trucks, bikes, motorcycles, and limos. I think Boston is fancy than Cairo because in Boston we got technology, apartments, hotels, the mall, and restaurants. In Cairo I don’t think that they have games, limos, hotels, or fancy cars. In Boston, Massachusetts we have four seasons the first one is winter, spring, summer, and fall. I wonder how many seasons they have. I would like to visit Cairo to see what do they have down there. I wonder if they beaches, schools, stores, or any technology. In Boston we have technology such as ipods, mp3 player, radio, lights, computers, television, and cameras. We have a lot of cool stuff in Boston. I wonder that in Cairo if they have the technology like we do.
