House on Mango Street

Over the past week you've been reading House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, choose a character from the book and describe at least 3 characteristics about their story that you share with them. How are you alike? What experiences have you shared with them?

On this blog I will be choosing a character and sharing three characteristics about them and me and how we are alike by typing three paragraphs also ill be saying things like how many experienced sharing with her .
I think I am like Alicia because Alicia is a strong women and I am a strong boy I cook, clean basically every thing accept the bills because I cant make enough money to pay all the bills only thing my mom does is pay the bill so we can have a shelter to live in and be warm and safe from the streets . I think I am also like her because once my mom got sick and I was worried and I decided to step up my mom was proud of me when she got better.
On time I experienced something like Alicia when I was in elementary when my mom got sick I did not know what the disease was but she was really sick and I felt bad it was just me and my two sisters and they were feeling like that my mom was giving up on them but they did not know what was going on so everyday I had to wake up at 6 in the morning to make breakfast and at night my mom gave me 20 bucks to take out. I felt like my dad because he was a good person to me and my mother .
Alicia is like a hard worker to me she is a real mother because I never read a book with so much heart an details but when I read this vignette it made me think of my mom when she got sick. It made me feel like a true hero reading her because then I knew that I was not the only person to go threw that stage of life if my dad was there he would feel so proud of me .that’s why I chose Alicia to write and do this blog on house on mango street.

A character that I can relate to is Meme. We share the same personalities some times. Meme and I have dogs as pets. We both treat dogs as if they were people and we do whatever we can for them. Dogs to Meme and I are apart of are family. Memes dog has gray eyes, which is weird cause my dog has gray eyes as well.

Another personality that Meme and I share is, how we both love to be playful and to have fun. Meme loves to play on the monkey bars. I love to play on the monkey bars as well. I love monkey bars because it helps me think of how monkeys and I have some of the same strategies. I think that swinging on the monkey bars is fun because I know that I can do what I feel like on them.

The last personality that Meme and I share is that sometimes were the type of out going person. We like to have fun, sometimes we just has sudden out burst at some points
That has nothing to do with what is going on. Meme and I like to act like someone we’re not. Meme sometimes pretends that he is Tarzan. But sometimes I pretend I am a gorilla which is similar to Tarzan.

Hi my name is Brenda and I am going to tell you about who I am like the most on House on Mango Street. I have so many ways I am alike to characters. I am mostly alike to Esperanza so she is the character I chose. Let’s move on now. Let’s go paragraph 2.

Here I am like Esperanza 1 reason is we speak Spanish. We speak Spanish at home but English at school. We come from Spanish speaking countries like D.R or Mexico. Spanish is really important to both of us. So now let’s go to paragraph 3.

Another reason we are alike is because the amount of friends we have. We both have a few friends. Her friends to her are the best she has and that goes the same here. Both of us really care about our friends a lot. So now paragraph 4, which has the final reason, we are alike.

The final reason Esperanza and me are alike is because we write poetry. I write poetry when I want to and she does to. We both love poetry. It shows how we feel. That’s how we are alike.

I am going to talk about what Meme and I have in common. We have some things in common. And some things we don’t have in common. Stay tuned and don’t go anywhere, if you want to read what Meme and I have in common.

If I were to compare someone in the book The House on Mango Street with me I would compare myself with Meme. Sometimes we share the same personality, and at other times we are complete opposite human beings. Both of us love enjoying our lives. And we both live in very old houses. Our floors make some annoying sound. I wish that I can fix it, but I don’t know anything about fixing floors and I think I might even damage it more. Some floors in my house slant. We also have something else in common. We both have a dog. I have a blue nose pit bull when Meme has a sheepdog. My dog has light hazel eyes when Memes dog has gray eyes.

We also have another thing in common. We both love to have some fun. Meme and I get exercise when we want. But most of the time we love playing around. I love monkey bars and so does Meme. The only thing that I haven’t done with monkey bars was breaking my arm. I will not try to be Tarzan like Meme did. I have fun but not that type of fun.

Meme and I both have a yard and a garage. Not most people in the world have a yard and garage. Just by reading this book I can tell that Meme’s yard looks a little bit like mines. And both of our garages are right next to trees. But the only thing that I hate about it is that when fall comes the trees come flying everywhere. And the winter there’s snow everywhere. But I’m happy at the house that I’m at. And hopefully we don’t move anytime soon.

I going to tell you which character in House on Mango street is just like me. Also how he/she is like me.

One character that is just like me is Meme. I am like meme because his friends call him by his nickname but his mom calls him by his real name, which is Juan Ortiz. My friends call me wes but my mom calls me Weslin. I hate it. Also when memes mom calls him by his real name when he is out side he has to go running up those stairs. Also like my mom when she calls me and I have to go running up the stairs.

Another characteristic that meme is like me is because he likes jumping around in his backyard. I am just like that because when I go in my back yard those little fences tempt me to jump over them. I am surprised that I didn’t break my arms like meme did. That is one very not safe characteristic that me and meme have in common.

Last characteristic about me and meme is that memes backyard is messy. Well my backyard is messy right now. Its messy because my landlord is fixing and replanting things. Other than that my house is clean.

Those are some ways meme and me are alike and why.

I am going to write about Alicia because we have one thing that is close to us and it is common. First it is that we are scared of mice. I am afraid of mice because it’s just nasty when you see that animal running around.

First just want to say that Alicia and me are in common. Also Alicia is scared of mice why because she thinks they are nasty. I think that they are also nasty and discos ting they crawl on nasty places. Well then she gets scared right away. Now you know the first paragraph characteristic.

I am like Alicia because her mom died. Well my mom didn’t really die but my aunts did. They felt horrible like Alicia’s. She felt so bad like my aunt and me but she had support of her dad like Alicia experienced. Now you know the second paragraph characteristic.

Lastly her and me are the same by that she is a hard worker. I am like that because I have to get up every morning and make sure that every one is well. Alicia had to wake up every morning and make sure her dad had a good breakfast and go to work. Well Alicia is such a woman with great Manchurians that she is just great. Now you know the last charateristic paragraph

I’m writing about a character that has all the same characteristics as me! A character that is just like me is Alicia. Alicia is afraid of mice and fathers. I’m afraid of mice and my father when we have to talk alone. If my family is going through a crisis, I will be able to take the entire responsibility that my mom and dad are supposed to be doing.
Mice are very creepy and very fast! Alicia and me are scared and creeped out about mice. I can’t even stay in house that has only 1 mouse. I really wouldn’t care I would want to leave in 1 minute or 15 seconds. For Alicia, her dad says it’s just a dream and just in her head that she sees mice. My grandfather would say the same thing that Alicia’s dad said to her.
I am afraid of fathers because I’m afraid of telling my dad about things that he doesn’t know. Alicia is very different because her dad doesn’t help her with anything. She does everything by herself with no help from anyone in the house. Sometime I get help, I feel bad for Alicia to go through that problem.
A characteristic is that Alicia and I have is that we are generous and helpful to others. She is generous by donating her time to her family instead of studying for college. I’m generous by helping my brother do their homework first than doing mine last. I am helpful by trying to help my grandmother not forget to get her keys for her car when we leave in the morning. Alicia is helpful by cleaning and cooking for everyone. The House On Mango Street character Alicia are alike because we are afraid of mice, fathers. We are also helpful and generous.

I think I’m more like Alicia in the book because well I am doing hard work when it comes down to the need to do things. I’m also a person who would step up for my family if needed in a crisis. Sometimes I’m scared of mice when they’re the size of NY rats. Those rats are huge and I really don’t know why. To me I would try to figure out why or how mom died and see if there is anything to do or fix like if someone ran over her I would sue him or her.

The first thing is that when the hard work needs to be done you will see me on it in seconds. When something important is in my life that’s when you see go get’em Jason because (this has to do with me being kept back if you didn’t know) it’s needed to succeed in this situation. Wouldn’t you do the same in my situation? To me I’m acting like the Jason every single teacher I’ve had told me I was. This is my life now and I’m going to make it work.

To me I would do the exact thing she did. It’s hard when you step up to take your mother’s place the mom that raised you, feeded you, toke care of you, all that stuff and now you must take that role that’s tuff. To me this would sound crazy to others but not me. This sounds like my family asking for help and that’s hard to do as well.

To conclude this secion I think I’m definitely like Alicia. The family situation is hard enough. This girl even has to take her mothers role in the family now that she’s dead. This girl is brave, smart, and scared of mice on top this girl is a rolemodel.

I think nenny and I are alike in some small ways. For instance we both have an older sister. Her sister is much older than her. My sister is also much older than I. Nenny and I both sometimes aggravate our sisters.
Nenny and I are much younger than our sisters so we don’t really have the same mind frame. I think because we don’t have the same mind frame we aren’t best friends. Nenny and I are both at least 4-8 years younger than our sisters. I think we sometimes aggravate our sisters because we wont to be like them when are older.
I think if we were in their shoes we could see what we are doing that aggravating to them, and we would stop. I think Nenny and I have such good role models as sisters. I think Nenny and I just wont to be like our older sisters and that’s why we aggravate them. I also think is we told our sisters we wont to be like them they would understand. I think if Nenny and I were the same age as our sisters we would be really good friends.

I am much like the character Alicia, because I think that we are really alike in many ways. We both have to take care of our families, we both have big responsibility, and we both are scared of rats. I think we get these similarities from the fact that we both have to do the same things to take care of our families.
We both have to take care of our families, Alicia and I both need to be the providers of certain things. Ex: She has to wake up very early to cook breakfast and lunch for her brothers, sisters, and father. Alicia has to catch 2 busses, and a train just to get to work and to go to college. We both need to make sure that your family is taken care of… and even though I have my mom I still need to make sure that my family can handle anything they’re dealing with.
Alicia and I both have to take a lot of responsibility for our actions. Ex: She has to make sure that her brothers and sisters are all ok before she can even do anything for herself. I have to do the same, because I know that sometimes my mom is very tired and can’t work I have to step up to the plate and help her out. Alicia also has to deal with the discrimination of her father. She decided not to walk out and to just stay and deal with the things that are easy and hard.
The final reason that we are alike is, because we are both terrified of rats. Ex: She clearly can’t stand the little for legged creatures. I can’t stand them either, because they don’t seem to be scared of anything and that includes humans. Plus I think that they are just very nasty to see… never mind be around. Her father would tell her that they are imaginary, because I don’t think that he wants to have to cope with the fact that there are rats in the house.
I think that Alicia and I are very much alike… don’t you?

In the following paragraphs I’m going to explain how Esperanza and I are alike. We are alike because we each want to change our name to something simple. We also share being Hispanic. Last but not least we each get annoyed with our little siblings. Find out more in the next few paragraphs.

Esperanza and I are alike because we have names that people have trouble pronouncing. We each want to change our name to something simple and easy for people to pronounce. Esperanza and I will love to change our name to anything but what we have now. Each get annoyed when someone miss pronounce our name. It will be so much better to have a nice and simple name.

Esperanza and I are Hispanic meaning we come from a Hispanic culture. Her and I have family members that live and lived where she is from. We are each proud to be Hispanic. Don’t care where we are from. We don’t care what people think about our culture as long as we are proud to be Hispanic.

We have little siblings that annoy us a lot. We always is saying we wish they weren’t our siblings yet on the other side we love them. We hate sharing things with them but feel we have to or they will cry. Our siblings are both younger than we are. We sometimes even pamper them.

These are the reasons why Esperanza and I are alike. we each share wanting to change our name. Also being Hispanic. Last but not least we have annoying little siblings. These re the reasons we are alike.

I am writing a 4 paragraph essay on a book named The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros. I have to pick a character and tell how our personalizes are the same and describe 3 characteristics we share. We have to include what we share and more. I think Sally and I are the same.

I am most like Sally because she is so sweet and so am I. Sally is very shy because her best friend and her got into a fight and me and my friends are like that. I have a very mad family and so is Sally’s family because she cant hang out in the back of the school with Esperanza any more. I was like that last year but I got over that. Sally is also very classy because she wears nice and cool clothes, I am also classy too.

Another reason Sally and I are the same is because we really don’t talk about our home life. Sally is very quite but I am not really quite. We are also very responsible. If we could break out our shell we will but we can be kind of loving, when we want to be. She is also really smart, we are intelligent but we always keep our head held high and back down. But on a bad we just keep going forward.

I have told you how me and Sally are the same and all our characteristics but I didn’t say we are one of a kind. Sally is a really sweet and smart girl, she is just like me. We are so shy but no one realizes. My coolness makes me like Sally. We can always walk together and have fun. Sally and I are same.

The character that I’am most alike is to Alicia. I’am most like Alicia because we both are scared of mice. I don’t like mice because they are nasty and I’am scared that the mice would touch my feet or a part of my body. I’am scared of mice because I don’t like when I see the mice running around.

I’am like Alicia because Alicia mother died and Alicia had to take over her mothers place. For me for example if something happens to mother I think that I would be the one who would take over my mothers place because from my three sisters iam the only one who knones hoe to cook and my sisters know how to clean but I think that I would do a way better job then them.

I’am like Alicia because Alicia hates a 4 feted animal that has fur and that animal is a mice. I don’t like mice because I think that they are nasty and I hate the noise that they make noise that I really hate that noise. I’am like Alicia because when she sees the mice she would start to yell.

I’am like Alicia because she is a very hard working girl. Alicia always wakes up in the morning and cooks for her family and I think that is something that I would do. Alicia always takes two trains and one bus everyday so that she can go to collage and if I was Alicia I would do the same thing because in the end al that hard work it will be forth it in the end.

I think that I`m like the main charter. Me and her are alike because we both fantasy. We also both had a best friend who became our enemy. You will see how were alike when you start to read more about us. I’ll tell you 3 more reasons on how were alike for each pahaph.
When she dreams about having a hose, it remained about me. Iuse to imagine that it would be a big blue hose. Their would bestair in the hose and flowers every were. We both won`t our dream hose badly. This is one way were alike.
In the story her friend beat her. My friend puch me. Iwas mad. Then he ask me do I have a penile. In the book the girl try to talk to the main character. She
didn`t understand why she was trying to talk to her. I didn`t understand why too.
As you can see we are alike. There only two way were alike. We both dream a lot. We also had a 2 face friend.

Over the past week I have been reading House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros. The main character Ezperanza reminds me of myself. Her family isn’t the most perfect including the place they live. Her family can be annoying especially her sister Nanny.
Like my sister Ezperanza’s sister Nanny is an instigator or troublemaker. But they are very good at having everybody fooled and thinking that they are sweet. Since I feel that our sisters are alike I think that Ezperanza and me would understand each other. Ezperanza also reminds me of myself because she seems very intelligent for her age and people always says things like that to me.
Like her I have moved a lot in my life and always wanted a real house. Not a rented house a real one like she said with an upstairs and a downstairs to it and the upstairs would not be an attic. Like her my house also had pluming problems and that was the reason for our most recent move.
The last thing that I think links Ezperanza and me is that we both have not always had reason to be proud of our belongings. Sometimes even ashamed of things like your houses. But always try to think positive and think of what we do have like family

I will be writing and comparing Alicia to someone that is similar to her.
Alicia’s mom died when she was little. Her dad is expecting her to do all the house chores. She has to cook dinner. She has to clean the house. She has to make the bed.
In that house she is expected to be the mom. (Young mom) her dad doesn’t even care about her education all he cares about is how he’s feeling. That is similar to my friend because her parents are divorced. She lives with her dad and he doesn’t treat her like most kids are supposed to be treated. She goes home makes dinner baby-sits her younger siblings.
And she does her homework but not any time soon. She says she has to do it she does it for the love of her family. She said she would do every thing that her mother never did. She cant even have time to play her father said that play time is work time. She is similar to Alicia because basically all she does is work clean and fail in school because she doesn’t have time to do her schoolwork.
She does get tired of hearing her father complain but she never gives up. That is exactly what Alicia said. No matter what kind of pain she feels she will not give up. There family and she wont let them down. She told me life is not fair not easy but hey family matters and you cant change that.

I am going to talk to you how I am similar to one of the characters the in the book house on mango street. The character I am similar to is Esperanza. I am going to talk to you how I am similar in this paragraph. I hope you enjoy.
I am similar to Esperanza because she has a little sister that annoys her and so do I. Also because because sometimes mis pronounce my name which also annoys me just like Esperanza. Something else is that both of are names symbolize something hers is hope and mine is a tree. She talks about how people are and like what they do and sometimes so do I. Another thing is she would like to live in a better house and so do I mine is just like hers embarrassing.
Some other similarities are that Esperanza has a big family living with her and so do I seven people in the household. Another thing is that Esperanza writes poems and at home I some times to do too. Other things is that Esperanza has moved so many times and so have I this is how I am similar to Esperanza.

This blog of, ”The House On Mango Street” is about me comparing myself to Esperanza. What I have in common is I moved two times one house to another. In the story, Esperanza made a wish, I to made a wish and my wish was to own a beautiful house. The last thing I compare to me with Esperanza is we both want to never see another house like on Mango Street. Her and me want a better house than some broken down old house. We both thought it might be a beautiful house but, we thought wrong.

My blog is about describing a character fro the house on Mango Street to me. Also my blog will describe three characteristics to my character, which is Minerra.

I would choose Minerra as a resemblance of me because were both passion in poetry. We take our emotion to create our poetry. Were both emotional we ask our self many questions that mean so many things. We cry when were feeling heart or remembering something you who that was here we feel like we’re all alone like nobody cares.

Minerra is strong because even though she a single mom she handling things like a mom and a dad. She makes sure that there food on the table for her kids and that’s a lot for just one mom. Even though she has her breakdowns she’s always waking up with hope.
The reason why I said that Minerra is strong is because other moms would give up and leave there kids for adoption but Minerra didn’t and that’s some thing she should be thankful for.

This is how me and Minerra is the alike and also mostly every moms go through this every day but the best thing to do is not to be stressed out about these things but be hopeful and willing for your kids and yourself.

The House on Mango St.

For my blog I’m choosing one character from the book House on Mango St. and comparing him/her to me. I think I’m like Esperanza from the book because she’s a strong women and I’m a strong person like when my mom isn’t feeling good I take care of everything.

Esperanza and I are alike because we both have names people can’t pronounce like and we both want to change them to something simple sometimes we share the same personalities sometimes people can’t understand my name at all just like Esperanza.

Me and Esperanza are also alike because we don’t have siblings well I have siblings but I don’t live with any of them so basically I’m an only child. Children annoy us a lot so I happy I don’t have any.

Im going to talk about me and Minerva and how we are alike in 3 ways and how we do things and also how get our feelings out and express ourselves.
One way is that every day I write out how I feel about myself and others. Also on how I can change how things happen and how I take care of myself in a better way.
Another thing I do is share my poems with with my closest person that I trust can read my poetry like Minerva does with her friend. But also at the same time minerva's friend writes poetry to about her life also.
I also pray that things will get better for me so that I wont be stressed everyday about how I have to go home and keep arguing with my sisters about every thing that she does to me. House on Mango Street

The character I think is similar to me is Esperanza. Esperanza and I are alike because we both move around a lot and sometimes we both don’t like the idea of moving over and over again because we don’t get to make a lot of friends around our street. We probably sometimes like it because maybe the street we lived on before had a lot of violence so our parents or guardians decided to move somewhere safer. We also probably like it because we get to meet new people around our way and get a chance to know them and for them to know us.
We are also alike because when we meet new people we already know what they’re like without evening asking them. For example when I meet someone, in my mind I say to my self, “oh I can tell already that me and Mia will be real good friends or maybe we will be best friends someday”. When I meet someone and I don’t like them that much I keep in my head and let my self cool down before I explode and I bet that if the happened to Esperanza she would do the same thing.
The last but not least thing about how we are alike is that we both dream about having a house of our own with real stairs and wide windows and everything else. When I’m sleeping or I’m just bored I dream about how one day I’m going to have a house of my own and it would have 6 bedrooms for family members that want to stay over for rest, 5 bathrooms so I won’t have to share with no one, a hot-tub and a big pool with a basketball court just for fun. One day Esperanza and me will both have the house of our dreams!

The Character that I’m picking is Ezperanza. The reason why is because me Ezperanza have 3 things in common. One thing we have in common is the amount of times we move. We move a holey lot of times. Also When we move we mostly think that our houses will be big then we find out our house. That is the first thing we have in common.

The second thing that me and Ezperanza have in common is that we have to pesky little sisters. My little sister is 5 years old and when I think of her my sister and me it reminders me of Nenny and Ezperanza. The reason why is because I bet that we have the same feelings inside of our minds when we think about our pesky little sister. I think that the feeling that we have when we think of our little sisters is anger. That is the second thing we have in common.

The third thing that me and Ezperanza have in common is that we both like our house. We both feel good in our house. Me and Ezpreranza both think that our windows are small. And our stairs are tight. But doesn’t mean that we don’t like our house. Those are the things we have in common.

My name is Shomari Holmes and I choose Espransas because I think we both have the same life experiences because I have moved a lot and have lived in a harsh neigborhood and was raised with very little things and had to live off of very little we had and make a living just like Espransas . I also choose Espransas because she came to be a very joyous loving person with a great naturally family . Me and Espransas have the same characteristics because we were both not rich with a lot of money but we both have a family that is rich with love and compassion and caring for one another no matter what the cost was and our families both did the best they can to raise us up differently from our surroundings and harsh neigborhood and disorderly kids that were around us . Me and Espransas both have the same experiences because when I was little I had to move a lot because of the conditions that we were both living with . I also share the same experiences because we both had to fit a big family in to a small house and every time I moved to a different neigborhood there was always one more of us and a littler house and beat up raggedy doors with dried up moisture . One last characteristics me and Espransas have in common is having to work harder to support my family because one loved one has past away and you are in school and you have to work twice as hard to clean the house and do chores more often and do home work and its hard but in the end it all pays off and it is worth it because look at were I am now and how much I achieved in my life and how many great opportunitys I have gotten.

The character that I pick on the House on Mango Street is sally.
The reason that I picked sally is because we both are nice and we both like to have fun and make fun off are sitter.
I picked her because I think that we have a lot of thing in comment.
One thing that we have I in comment is that she is a girl and so and I we also have in comment that we both like to have fun she likes to play around and I like to play around to. The other thing is that I think that sally sometimes is not that nice with her sister. But sometimes I am not that nice to. But I think that in this story sally sometimes could be a bit nice. And she is just like me so I think that me and sally is alike we do the same thing but it think that I am nicer than sally sometimes and t I think that sally could be nice to sometimes. I also like sally because she could be friendly and I am all way friendly and sally likes to have fun playing with friends and I like to play with friend. And we both like to hang out with our friend like go to the move and go to the park walk our dogs we both have a lot of thing In comment. Anther thing that we have In comment is that we both have a lot of friends I have a lot of friends in school and she has a lot of friends at home that lives next to her and when she goes out side she calls them and they come out side. I also have friends in the street that I live in and I go over they house or they come over my house and we all get some snacks and we get or home work and we go out side we call all of are other friend to bring they homework and we eat and we do are home work at the same tome we each help each other with are home work. And that is what me and sally have in comment we both do all the fun stuff .

In the house mango street book I am like sally
Sally because I am friendly like her and also like to talk to my people about my feelings.
Sally also doesn’t like making mistake.
I also like to make friends like sally and being friendly.
And sally is funny and she doesn’t like talking to strangers like the guy down the street who gave then a couch.
And she liked boy who goes to her school who said her hair smelled good so she felt happy and surprising about.
Because her crush said her hair smell good.
So she had a friend who talks to stranger.
And my friend talks to a stranger but she keep saying that she knows him but she doesn’t.
Sally like’s to help her friends with something she can control that is not hard for her to do when someone in her family that needs help.
I and sally had to move many places.
Like moving to many places and all we could remember is moving lots of because our parents is looking for a good place for us.
And living in a house with a broken pipe so we moved to Dr.
So we moved again to martin Luther king park.
And finally we found a right house.
When I went out side I even met a right person and her name was Alicia she started to be the right friend like sally.
And she was almost a sister to me.
and sally is a good friend to have because she will to you the truth with out lying.
Sally and I are just alike.
Helping her friends with there feelings.
My mom told me when you have friend then u trust them they will become Ur best friend.

The question that I am going to answers today is. Over the past week you've been reading House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, choose a character from the book and describe at least 3 characteristics about their story that you share with them. How are you alike? What experiences have you shared with them? The person that I am like in house on mango street is .sally me and here are like to pees in pods . The number one thing that we are very , very conceded . All the boys like here in her class room at home in the nabbed hood like s here . The people that like me is in my nabbed hood likes me . But no one like me in school.
The number two thing that we have in common is that we like to make friends . Every girl comes to me for advice .About boy troubles and to go tell some one that some one likes that person but I do not have the stuff to tell some one that I like that person .the person that I like is in my class .But I am not telling you how it is . The number three thing that I have in common with here is rally nothing so throws are the only things that I have in common with sally so that’s all friends. See you boys and girls when I see you .

If I had to compare my self to a person in the book house on Mango Street, I would think that I am like Esparanza because of these 3 reasons.

My first reason is that when I was little my mom didn’t always have a lot of money. So when she would tell me and my brothers that we are moving I would be all happy and excited but my brothers would know that we weren’t moving to some big house with 6 rooms. We were just moving to some house that was a little bigger and less money. So as I got older I began to act like my brothers and Esparanza. I was not living in a house as bad as Esparanza’s, but it was an apartment and we didn’t have our own rooms and bathrooms.

I also think I was like Esparanza because as I would get older I would see my friend going over each others house and I would want to invite some one over, but the way they talk about there house it would make my house or apartment look bad so I always wanted to move so two years ago my mom and me and my brothers moved to a new house we don’t pay rent and we each have our own room and I am actually proud to show my face when I am leaving. I also compare my self to Esparanza because of her name. Both of our names are very deffent. Not only do we both start with E, but we but also have very brain racking meanings. And I think our name help build our personality

HOUSE ON MANGO SREET REPORT
By Luc Joseph

I would tell you how am comparing myself to the character from the book House On Mango street and I would only tell you my comparison and I am comparing myself to sally in the book houses on mango street and I would how I am like sally and that would
be my comparing statement and I would not tell my contractions.

I am like sally because she is a nice person and she has an eye for Egypt and she think she is the most best person in the world. I am not saying that she I am the most best person but I am thinking that because thinks that she is the most best person in the entire world. I also would compare myself to sally because I am happy some times the other times I would get mad.

I would tell that sally loves Egypt and so do I because there is a lot of possible things the would find and sally would compare her self to the girls that lived in Egypt and she said that she would go to Egypt and I think that sally would always to tell about how she likes Egypt and she would always be in a happy mode and she thinks that she would be in a happy face and I think that she would be considered a joyful person and her day would be a fun day.

That’s how I compared me and sally to each other and I did not contras myself to sally I compared myself to sally and how all the things she did and I talked all about it and I talked all about how I was comparing myself to sally in the book and the book that is once again the house on mango street and I think that this book would be good book to compare themselves in the book.

Esperanza and me

I started reading a book called House On Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros. In the story there are a lot of characters that I am alike but I will be comparing my self to Esperanza. Esperanza is almost like me not because we have the same name but about our character traits. I have a lot of things in common with Esperanza and in the next chapter that is what I’ll be talking to you about.

Esperanza is the type of girl I am. The first thing Esperanza and me have in common is moving a lot. In the first chapter Esperanza moved many times. She moved about 3 times. I remember when I was younger my mother would always move. She would make us pack up our stuff and tell us we are moving to a bigger and better house. And this reminds me of when Esperanza’s mother told her their moving to a better house and it came out not to be true because Esperanza doesn’t like the house. When I my mom told us we were moving I would think she was lying to me but today I don’t have to listen to the landlord tell my father that we didn’t pay the bills because it’s my house and I don’t need to suffer anyone’s problems.

Esperanza is like me because I had to share everything with my brothers. We had to share the bathroom, the TV and even the computer. And when I used to go on the computer my brother would always kick me off. He would say “ I’m on the computer so get out” and I had to listen to him because he was older than me. But now we don’t have to share the TV or the bathroom because we have two TV and two bathrooms and I can watch TV in my mom’s room and he can watch TV in my brother’s room. I am like Esperanza because she had to share the bathroom with her other sibling and she had to share her room.

The third reason Esperanza and me are alike is because we both like to write poetry. Esperanza likes to write poetry and I like to write poetry. I love to write poetry. I remember when I first wrote poetry I was so in to it. I would sit down at home and start making rhymes. And Esperanza loved to write poems and she wrote poems to express her feelings. I write poems to express my feelings and let people know what I am feeling and how I am feeling.

As you can see I’ve just compared my self to Esperanza because Esperanza and me have many things in common like how we both had to move a lot, how we both had to share things with our siblings, and how we both wrote poems. These are the things Esperanza and me have in common.

In the book The House on Mango Street, Nenny reminds myself of me. Both of us are the little sisters in the house. Another thing is we bother of older siblings and are very friendly people.
Nenny and I are the youngest people in the house; she is Esperanza's little sister. I have an older brother named Larry. Nenny is kind to her sister but Esperanza just thinks Nenny is a little annoying sometimes. Our older brothers or sisters ignore Nenny and me sometimes just because we are little or because we get all the attention. Nenny is also like me because we are much younger than our brothers and sisters.
I bother my older sibling a lot, and Esperanza feels Nenny does the same thing to her. I think we bother our siblings because we wish we could be older or be like them. We don’t get along because we think differently. I think Nenny and I just get on there nervous because we don’t know how they feel. If we were in our sibling’s position we would know how they feel and what we are doing to bother them all the time.
Both of us are really friendly people and don’t mean to bother anyone in any way but sometimes it just happens because we want to be our siblings. In a way I know that our siblings probably think they wish to be we to and see how it feels to bother us.

Today I am going to be talking about the book house on mango street. Also how a cheater in the book is like you. That I what I am going to be talking about today.
I am like sally because I am friendly. She is friendly just like me. We both make new friends each day. We like to be polite to people. That is how we are alike.
We also are alike because I live in a nosey neaboirhood. She live in a nosey neabor hood. That is how we are alike. That is my seconded way we are alike.
My last way is I live in a strict household. She lives in a strict household too. How we live in a strict household is because if I wore Mack up my mom would ground me for life. Sallies mom would ground her for life too. That is how we are alike. That was my last way the we are alike.
My cheater was sally because those are the same tares we have. Hat is how we are alike.

Esperanza and me are alike because we moved a lot and experience what will we do when we grow up. I experience that she has 2 brothers and one little sister. But the one thing is that I am the last born in my family. The weird thing is that they rent a ugly red house with small windows and three trees outside. My father rent a beautiful white apartment with big windows, one in the front one and one in the back. I think were kind of similar. My characteristics and Esperanza characteristics is experiencing what we will do when we grow up. I think there is more characteristics about me and Esperanza but I think that is the only characteristics we have. They are a lot of characters in house on mango street that are similar to me but Esperanza is more similar to me than all the other characters.

The book called house on mango street is about little stories that all come together about people around a girl named Esperanza. It is also about what Esperanza sees, and feels. She had moved a lot. Her last apartment was on a street called Lounis Street. What made her move from that apartment was that a water pipe had burst. The landlord would not fix the pipe because the apartment was too old.
I feel that Esperanza and I are alike because in one of her little stories she had described how she moved a lot. Finally she had gotten a house. But the problem is the house they had gotten was Esperanza describes ugly. I had a house that I felt was ugly. It was pink and brown my least favorite colors. It was the colors dark brown and neon pink. I had moved a lot as well. Esperanza is the oldest in her family. I am too. She has three siblings. I have three siblings as well. We both share the similarities of family related situations.
Esperanza and I share the similarities of making friends. Esperanza friend related situation is that at first she chooses the wrong friend. It grew, she had many friends. When I moved to a new street I did not have that much friends at first. I felt sad when everyone had a best friend to play with. I felt left out. After I started to go outside more often I made new friends.
Esperanza and I share the same experiences. Esperanza has to share a bathroom with four other people. I have to as well; I have to share it with my mom, my sister Ariyana, my other sister Anisya and my aunt Amanda. We both had moved place to place. We both had trouble making new friends around our new street. Lastly we share the family related situations.

This blog I would be choosing one chracter that described me. I think It would be like Alicia because she suffered a lot with her mom got sick then she died . She was brave and she had to step up and follow her mother role. By taking care of her siblings and her father. STRONG

Even though Alicia was depressed she was strong .when my grandmother died I had to live with my grand father. I had to take care of him because he was getting older and sicker. I had to chores in the house .I had to give my grandfather his medicein. I was depressed that my grand mother had died ,but I was strong. I know my grandmother would thank me .
SMART
Alicia still went to school while still taking care of her family .I think she was the first person in the family to go to college . She studied hard at college. She wanted to be susessful. Alicia didn’t quite school. Her father in the story was a little mean .

When I had to take care of my grandfather . He wasn’t thankful
